If you want an affordable riding experience with an organization that primarily focuses on horses, then you need to come to SPI Equestrian and Events Centre. Whether you are a horse tamer or a riding rookie, you will be able to enjoy the journey. The instructors will show you how to ride comfortably and correctly before you get to the beach path. Just know that ride schedules can change depending on the weather.

Beachside Horse Trails
Spectacular Sunrise Ride - $50 (for an hour)
The morning ride is the most cost-effective, and a great way to dip your toe into the horse-riding world.

Day and Afternoon Rides - $45 (for 45 minutes)
Those wanting the cheapest option will want to do an early afternoon or late morning ride. It may not have the flair of the other options, but it still is worth the price.

The Sunset Ride - $60 (for an hour)
For the honeymooners and those looking for a bit more magic to their ride, riding the trail at sunset casts an orange, romantic hue and a panorama you won't forget.

Polo
You can also take a polo class. This can be a great way to try something new on your vacation, and you won't have a better time learning than on one of the trained horses. You can also bring your own horse for the sport, and packages are available for aspiring adults and children.

South Padre Island Adventure Park

The Adventure Park offers more diverse experiences than horse-riding, but if you want the longest rides and some of the best horse trails on the island, buy with them. It is pricier because of the length of the rides, but the cost is well worth it.

Beachside Rides
Morning Special Horseback Ride - $99 (for 1 ½ hours)
A longer ride than other daytime strolls, and for the price, you are definitely getting a similar value. Great for seasoned riders who want more time on the trail.

Family Favorite Horseback - $79 (for an hour)
Perfect for a larger group. A great value for a fantastic trail. Can be in the morning or at night. Customizable to your trip.

Spectacular Sunset Ride - $129 (for 1 ½ hours)
Again, why wouldn't you pay for a magnificent sunset ride on the beach. Not only is it romantic and beautiful, but it is an unforgettable picture moment you can treasure throughout your life.

Moonlight Horseback Ride - $149 (for 1 ½ hours)
Going one step further, you can ride exclusively under the light of the moon for a premium price. The trail guides recommend coming in 45 minutes before your ride, and don't wear shoes that will fall off!

For Children - $25
Younger children may be too small to ride on the horses. Bring them down to the petting barn, where they can meet a menagerie of barnyard animals and exotic birds. If you want them to start riding early, pony rides are available for $25. Limited to 2-6 year olds.
